Earlier this summer I was a visiting artist at Grace Cook
Primary School working with yr2 pupils. I introduced the class to natural dyes
and historic methods of extracting colours using bundle dyeing and Hapa zome
methods. This was part of the Jubilant! Project headed by the Stowmarket
Culture Group. After a showcase exhibition and celebration event I am delighted
to have been invited by Stowmarket Council to run a day of Hapa zome (leaf pounding) workshops during ‘Stowmarket Go Green Go Wild’ event on
the 29th of October. This is a free public event so please do stop by
if in the area.
